"Tours will be charged per person" Santa Elena Bay Costa Rica is located in the province of Guanacaste, district of La Cruz, it is close to the Santa Rosa National Park with access through the Murcielago sector, part of the Guanacaste Conservation Area and an UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its unique geological characteristics; it is actually considered geologically the oldest region of Costa Rica. The area is a natural museum of rocks and water that allows geographers to study and understand how the territory of Costa Rica was born and how it developed throughout the centuries. The Santa Elena Gulf (Bay or Peninsula) is famous for its impressive beauty and for being one of Central America’s richest marine areas, which makes it a preferred site for snorkeling and scuba diving. Depending on the time of the year you decide to visit, (the best time is between December and March) taking a boat tour is ideal, aside from the one of a kind rock formations, and deep blue water, you may be lucky to see sting rays, humpback whales, sea turtles, dolphins, are just some of the rich wildlife; this is the area where you may be able to see devil rays jumping off the water.
